Volt Mediafix is a full service production services and fixing company with a high calibre, global reputation. Its roots lay firmly in the hands of owner and award winning, ex-BBC Producer, Liz Stirling.

Volt’s inception began with a ‘rockumentary’, greenlit by the BBC during the Scottish Bafta Awards on 12th November 2006. The very next day, Volt UK was established and Liz and her team began production on ‘Paolo Nutini Takes On America.’

Touring and filming across the U.S., the doc featured music legends, including Rod Stewart and ‘The Modfather’, Paul Weller, thanks to Liz’s extensive music connections. The show aired on the BBC to great success; to this day, both Paolo and Liz still share many fond memories of their time on the road.

In May 2007, Volt Mediafix USA was established and Liz has been spearheading productions from the UK and many other overseas countries ever since. Understanding both, production and cultural differences, Liz and the Volt team have a body of work that speaks for itself.

Since it’s formation, Volt has produced for some of the world’s most notable linear and digital outlets; BBC Amazon Studios, Netflix, Sony, Universal, NBC, ITV, TikTok, YouTube TV, to name just a few.

Volt retains a high ranking position as a coveted, ‘BBC preferred vendor’, for over 15 years, on the BBC’s international database.

Volt’s strengths include; executing, producing and guiding overseas productions, to navigate through all filming hurdles and challenges. Whether it be permits, laboring, budgeting, immigration, Volt has all this experience and much more.

And with over a decade of globetrotting production expertise, Volt has filmed across most continents. Taking U.S. productions to Europe, Australia, Asia, North and South America, there is very little parts of the globe yet untouched by Volt’s hand.

In 2021, Volt’s Liz was headhunted by Amazon Studios who recognized her “unique skills”, as a global producer with a “Covid optic”. Liz became a trusted partner with a reputation to deliver projects safely.
